With
over 10 years of design experience in a variety of professional
settings, I'm confident I can design materials to fit your company's
needs.
After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts (Western Illinois University), I worked at a high-quality weekly shopper publication
(McDonough County Shopper in Macomb, IL). Then my husband & I moved
to NY state, where I was lucky enough to be employed as a graphic
artist by The Syracuse Newspapers -- circulation around 180,000. Next, I worked briefly with the good folks at the Alamogordo Daily News. Since January of 2005, I've been the full-time on-staff designer for the NM Museum of Space History; there, I'm busy with all sorts of Big Design Adventures, including creation of promotional materials, development of Museum-related gift shop products, and involvement with exhibit design. (FishFoot is my "side" thing!)
My
many years of design experience have allowed me to work with an array of
businesses -- from retailers & grocery chains to auto dealerships
& service providers -- even school districts. My projects have run the gamut from black-and-white
newspaper ads to 4-color glossy tourism booklets, with a few state-level
awards won along the way. No matter the size of the project, I give
full attention to detail and pride myself in creating high-quality
design.
To provide businesses with well-spoken materials is my goal,
and to be challenged to create unique expressions of basic information
is always exciting for me. More than any other facet of my vocation,
I love to CREATE!
